What is Juvederm?
Juvederm is a smooth consistency injectable gel dermal filler derived from hyaluronic acid, a natural complex sugar found within the body. It helps to restore the volume between collagen and elastin fibers below the surface of the skin resulting in the diminished appearance of wrinkles and folds for a younger and more even appearance. One of the advantages of Juvederm is its smooth, pliant texture that is a result of its unique manufacturing process and which contributes to its soft, natural-looking results
How does Juvederm work?
When injected below the surface of the skin, Juvederm replaces the hyaluronic acid that has been lost over time. As it integrates between the collagen and elastin, the hyaluronic acid not only restores volume but also improves the hydration of the skin.
Can Juvederm be used for all skin types?
Yes! Juvederm is the first hyaluronic acid dermal filler approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use on all skin types.
Is Juvederm safe?
Juvederm was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 2006 for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles, folds, and lines. Because Juvederm is a fully biodegradable and biocompatible gel based on a natural substance, there is little or no risk of allergic reactions that can sometimes occur as a result of treatments that utilize animal-derived fillers. No pre-testing is required and as Juvederm breaks down it is easily absorbed by the body.
How long does the treatment take?
The length of treatment session varies from client-to-client based on how many areas require correction and how many applications of Juvederm will be required to achieve optimal results. In general, Juvederm treatments range from 30 minutes to an hour and can be easily scheduled between other appointments or on your lunch hour. No recovery time is required so you will be able to return to your daily activities immediately.
Are there any side effects?
Juvederm is a fully biodegradable and biocompatible gel based on a natural substance and because it is not derived from animal-based proteins or products, there is little or no risk of an allergic reaction. Some clients may experience tenderness, temporary redness, or minimal swelling at the injection areas. Any discomfort following treatment should disappear within 24 hours or within a few days.
How long do results last?
Because of its high concentration of hyaluronic acid and its ability to naturally integrate with the body's tissues, Juvederm has been shown to be a long-lasting wrinkle correction option. While results vary from client-to-client, FDA-approved studies show that the benefits of Juvederm can last up to a full year. This makes Juvederm the first, and currently the only HA (hyaluronic acid) filler that has FDA approval for results lasting up to one year with a single treatment. Occasional maintenance treatments can help to ensure that you will continue to enjoy the optimal results of Juvederm.

What is RADIESSE?
RADIESSE Volumizing Filler is an injectable filler that works by immediately restoring facial volume to smooth out the signs of aging. Once injected, it works with your body to stimulate the production of your own natural collagen for results that may last a year or more in many patients.
What is the difference between RADIESSE Volumizing Filler and other fillers?
RADIESSE Volumizing Filler has the unique ability to both immediately restore lost volume and stimulate your body to produce its own natural collagen for long-lasting result.
How does it work?
Once injected, RADIESSE Volumizing Filler does exactly as it says: it fills or replenishes volume lost over time for a more refreshed looking you. Then it goes to work by stimulating your body to produce its own natural collagen. Over time, your body absorbs the product and leaves behind only your own natural collagen for long-lasting results.
How long does it last?
Not only does RADIESSE Volumizing Filler provide immediate correction, the natural, beautiful results may last a year or more in many patients.
How is the treatment performed?
RADIESSE Volumizing Filler is injected into the skin in a simple, safe, quick procedure that can even be done over your lunch hour. RADIESSE Volumizing Filler injections are more comfortable because it has been FDA approved for mixing with lidocaine, a kind of anesthetic.
What is it made of?
RADIESSE Volumizing Filler is made of tiny calcium-based microspheres which are suspended in a natural, water-based gel. These calcium based microspheres are similar to minerals that are found naturally in your body so allergy testing is not required. Over time, your body absorbs these tiny microspheres and the gel and leaves behind only your own natural collagen.
Is it safe?
RADIESSE Volumizing Filler is FDA approved, and has undergone rigorous testing in clinical studies to prove its safety. As with all filler treatments, patients may experience redness, bruising, swelling or other local side effects. Most side effects of treatment resolve within a few days. More rare side effects may include swelling that lasts longer, unevenness or firmness in the area injected, and as with any injection, there may be a risk of infection.
How long is the recovery time?
There is very little to no down-time involved in a RADIESSE Volumizing Filler procedure. In fact, most patients return to their normal, daily activities right after their visit. Every patient is unique, so be sure to discuss your plans with a healthcare provider.
