Acne Facial
For clients concerned with acne scarring and are looking for a safe and effective way to reduce the negative effects of acne, good news! Correction is possible! Allow Persona’s highly-trained specialists to assess the skin, determine possible causes of the acne, make individualized recommendations and discuss treatment options. There are many different types of blemishes, and our experts will analyze and correctly treat them during your facial service. Clients experience the reduction of acne marks with a gentle but effective peel, followed by steam and oxygenation of the skin. Dermaplaning is an exfoliation procedure that “refinishes” the skin through a method of professional scraping that leaves the skin soft, silky smooth and free of fine vellus hair also known as peach fuzz. Dermaplaning is safe, simple, painless and can be scheduled prior to a Facial service, Photofacial, Medical Microinfusion or laser treatment. Second Trimester
For expectant moms who feel great or for those still experiencing remnants of first trimester side effects, this treatment is the solution. Our Persona staff will ensure that Moms-to-Be look and feel their best throughout this second phase of pregnancy.
Swedish Massage is the recommended prenatal massage method during this phase of pregnancy because it addresses the common discomforts associated with the skeletal and circulatory changes brought on by hormone shifts during pregnancy.
Hormone regulation studies done in the past ten years have shown that hormone levels associated with relaxation and stress are significantly altered during pregnancy. Massage therapy can regulate mood swings and lead to improved cardiovascular health, when introduced to women’s prenatal care. In women who received bi-weekly massages for only five weeks, hormones such as norepinephrine and cortisol (“stress hormones”) were reduced and dopamine and serotonin levels were increased (low levels of these hormones are associated with depression).
