Nutrition

At Persona, we take pride in enhancing our clients’ complete wellness.

Part of that equation is a focus on nutrition for optimum health.

Our trained professionals begin the nutrition process by assessing each individual’s blood studies to determine vitamin, mineral and antioxidant levels after being tested by a specialized CLIA accredited clinical laboratory that specializes in micronutrient testing. Partnering with a specialized lab that has patented the testing process after 18 years of research has allowed our clinical staff to understand an individual’s nutritional status as well as any micronutrient deficiencies that can be treated for optimal health and wellness. We know that deficiencies can lead to immunosuppression and function and can lead to degenerative conditions such as Cancer, Alzheimer’s, Arthritis and Heart Disease.

The intracellular function of essential micronutrients is analyzed for deficiencies and balanced with essential nutrient supplementation to restore optimal body equilibrium. Our medical professionals will consult with each client to recommend micronutrient supplementation, a nutritionally sound diet and or Vitamin B injections to address overall nutrient deficiencies and conditions such as anemia, Alzheimer's, heart disease, sleep disorders and osteoporosis to name a few. Nutritional Testing

Nutritional Testing

Micronutrient Testing provides the most comprehensive nutritional analysis available by measuring functional deficiencies at the cellular level.

Micronutrients are vitamins and minerals required in small quantities that are essential to our health, development and growth. Each nutrient known today is responsible for specific physiological functions, making them unique and irreplaceable.

Overwhelming evidence suggests that a lack of these vital nutrients has a profound impact on the body’s immune system. Thus, adequate intake of these vitamins and minerals could mean the difference between a healthy life and a life fraught with disease.

Micronutrient testing is a comprehensive nutritional analysis of the body’s intracellular function. It measures 35 selected vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other essential micronutrients within your white blood cells.

The analysis can reveal a person’s functional nutritional status over a much longer period of time than conventional static serum testing, thus, providing you with a more meaningful measurement than all other nutritional testing

Persona offers a list of complete and integrative lab tests to assess nutritional deficiencies, cardiometabolic risk, hormone imbalances and genetic predisposition for personalized wellness and disease prevention.

Genetic Testing

Telomere Testing: Measures the length of your telomeres revealing risk of age related diseases. Studies have shown a direct correlation between telomere length and cardiovascular health and therapies directed at slowing the loss of telomere length may slow aging and age-related disease.

Genotyping: Reveals genetic markers critical for determining treatment strategies to decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease and other chronic disease conditions. We offer several genetic tests that compliment our integrative test menu.

  • Methylenetetrahydrofolate Reductase: The results of MTHFR genotyping give valuable information about a person’s ability to methylate. Methylation is a crucial part of cell processes and reduced function has been linked to a multitude of medical conditions.
  • Apolipoprotein E: The results of the genotyping of ApoE have important implications in the treatment strategies for individual patients in reducing cardiovascular disease risk.
  • Factor V Leiden and Prothrombin: genotyping indicates whether a person has an increased likelihood of forming blood clots (thrombosis). Presence of either gene increases the chance of deep vein thrombosis, and may also provide useful information on heart attack risk.
