Skin Rejuvenation
CO2 LASER
Beauty & Beyond
Persona’s CO2 skin rejuvenation treatment utilizes fractional microablative laser technology, thereby delivering energy that is divided into thousands of tiny thermal zones to rejuvenate collagen, safely and comfortably. The thermal energy vaporizes aged skin cells while stimulating the production of new collagen, resulting in deep skin rejuvenation. Visible results are smoother, tighter and younger skin. Persona’s highly qualified Registered Nurses perform these treatments which can vary in length from 20-40 minutes, depending on the area(s) being treated. Topical anesthetic applied to the skin before the treatment, makes the CO2 laser treatment virtually painless.
Ideal candidates for the CO2 Laser are those with aging or sun-damaged skin or other skin imperfections that cannot be addressed with skincare products or less intensive facial services. The beauty and versatility of Persona’s CO2 laser is it allows our Practitioners to customize treatments allowing for shorter healing times and less social downtime as required. Following the procedure, clients may experience a heat sensation that feels much like a sun burn. Skin dryness and itching may occur as well, in treated areas. Depending on the intensity of the treatment, clients may experience mild to moderate redness for 1-3 days or as long as 7-10 days. Mild puffiness or swelling with minimal discomfort can occur and last up to one week, depending on the level of treatment. Clients can plan to return to their normal lifestyle in 3-4 days on average. Exceptional results can be achieved with one session, provided clients allow for a slightly longer healing period and social downtime. Milder, multiple sessions with shorter healing times, however, may be scheduled to deliver excellent results, as well.
Mirco-Infusion Facial™
Persona’s unique and proprietary microInfusion facial protocol is the next generation in age defying facial treatments. A traditional spa facial that incorporates the latest in non-ablative technology, micro-needling, and an infusion of patented human growth factors that stimulate new collagen in the skin. The micro channeling that occurs from the technology in combination with the infusion of growth factors results in a remarkable improvement of skin texture, reduction of fine lines and a noticeable difference in the overall appearance of aging skin.
Growth factors are naturally occurring proteins that work together to control cellular activity, proliferation and differentiation. They generally act in close proximity to where they are produced and are critical in skin repair and remodeling. Growth factors are essential proteins that make your body think and act younger.
Photofacial (Fotofacial or Intense Pulsed Light)
Photofacial treatment works by the application of gently-pulsed, intense light (IPL) on the surface of the skin. The heat and energy that the light creates is absorbed by abnormal blood vessels that cause redness. As it absorbs the light and energy, collagen production is stimulated and the skin begins a natural healing process that restores a healthy and youthful tone to skin. Unlike some more aggressive laser and facial peel treatments that can burn the surface of the skin, Photofacial relies on the energy and heat of light therapy to penetrate deeper, destroying unwanted pigmented lesions and visible capillaries to reverse skin damage and discoloration from within. The length of treatment time depends on the area being treated. In general, treatments will last between 45-60 minutes. Following treatment, no recovery time is necessary and clients are able to return to daily activities. The results of cleared pigment and reduced redness can be expected in 7-10 days.
Photofacial is an ideal option for those who want a non-invasive, gentle, and easy way to erase freckles, age spots, redness, sun damage, and the appearance of visible capillaries and mild scarring. The number of treatments required to successfully achieve the desired result varies from client to client. Many of our clients see a significant improvement in the look and feel of their skin within the first week. In general, three to five treatments are recommended to achieve optimal results. Some clients require an occasional touch-up or reapplication to keep their skin looking its best; however, by investing in a skin care regimen following the treatment, you can ensure that the benefits will be long-lasting. There is little or no risk of serious complications from Photofacial treatment. The most common side effects experienced by our clients are temporary redness and darkening of the pigmentation in treated areas. Patients should limit sun and UV exposure for several weeks before and after treatments in order to reduce their risk of complications and ensure the best possible results.
