JUVÉDERM® is a smooth consistency injectable gel dermal filler derived from hyaluronic acid, a natural complex sugar found within the body. Because JUVÉDERM® is a fully biodegradable and biocompatible gel based on a natural substance, there is little or no risk of allergic reactions that can sometimes occur as a result of treatments that utilize animal-derived fillers. No pre-testing is required and, as JUVÉDERM® breaks down, it is easily absorbed by the body. Any discomfort following treatment should disappear within 48-72 hours. The length of treatment session varies from client to client, based on how many areas require correction and how many applications of JUVÉDERM® will be required to achieve optimal results. In general, JUVÉDERM® treatments range from 30 minutes to an hour and can be easily scheduled between other appointments. No recovery time is required so clients can return to daily activities immediately.
